TrackThem is a competitor monitoring tool for e-commerce merchants. You point it at a competitor store (Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, BigCommerce, Squarespace, custom), describe what you want to be told about in plain English, and TrackThem watches the store on your schedule. When a price drops, a product is added, a promotion launches, or the homepage changes, you receive one short email with what happened and the exact counter-play to run next.
You paste the competitor URL into TrackThem and pick what you want watched. TrackThem reads the store the same way any visitor would (public product feeds, sitemap, HTML). There is nothing to install on their side, no plugin, no login, no cooperation from the competitor. Setup takes under a minute.
Google Alerts fires on any keyword mention anywhere on the web, mostly noise. Visualping catches every pixel change on a page, including carousels, personalized blocks, and timestamps, so you spend time filtering. A raw scraper gives you a diff and leaves you to interpret it. TrackThem only alerts on the four moves that matter (pricing, products and stock, promotions, homepage or collections), and every alert comes with the specific action to take, grounded in your own catalog.
No. Checks run on your cadence (every 15 minutes on Starter, every 5 minutes on Growth, every 2 minutes on Scale) and rotate browser fingerprints so the store sees ordinary visitor traffic. Your identity is never in the requests. About 5 percent of stores actively block automated traffic, in which case TrackThem falls back to their sitemap and structured product feed automatically, and tells you if a specific page cannot be read.
You connect your own store (optional but recommended) so TrackThem reads your catalog: products, prices, collections, and homepage copy. When it scores a competitor move, it compares against your data, so a 20 percent price drop on a product you also sell scores higher than the same drop on a category you do not carry. On Scale, each alert also includes an impact analysis and a concrete counter-play tied to a specific SKU or collection from your catalog.
Full control. You describe watches in plain English, for example "alert me when a dress under 50 euros is added" or "notify me if the price of a winter coat drops by more than 5 percent". TrackThem compiles each observation into precise rules that you can preview, edit, pause, or delete anytime. There is no limit on how many observations you add per competitor.
Alerts land in your inbox within a minute of the check that found the change. On Scale the check cadence is every 2 minutes, on Growth every 5 minutes, on Starter every 15 minutes. You choose the delivery mode: real-time (one email per change) or a daily or weekly digest that groups everything by impact.
Up to 10,000 products, prices, and collections per competitor store, plus the homepage, banners, and promotion codes. That is enough to fully cover most Shopify catalogs end to end (median store is under 500 SKUs). The heavy scraping happens once per snapshot and is compared to the previous snapshot deterministically, so cost is bounded and predictable.
